Offer description

The Stock Officer in the hotel has the main responsibility to receive, store and issue supplies and equipment for the day-to-day hotel operations. Work closely with the purchasing department, ensure the cleanliness of all work areas, keeping storage and receiving areas clean and tidy at all times.

He/she also verifies that all supplies and goods received are listed on requisitions/orders and the delivery challans, and invoices are checked and filed in the appropriate folder. Maintains par stock, inventory, and stock records every month and compiles records of expenditures/consumptions, etc.

Job Description:

Monitor and maintain current inventory levels of all food & beverage (F&B) stock

Record purchases, maintain the database, perform physical inventory count, and reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports.

Perform quality checks on stored inventory and discard inventory items that do not meet the company’s standards.

Update and maintain inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders in the business.

Report discrepancies in inventory due to fraud or error.

Implement loss prevention programs to prevent fraud or error.

Establish and maintain order in the dry storage areas, food and non-food, and walk-in coolers and freezers.

Audit incoming orders of stocks for quality and accuracy;

Responsible for receiving, storing, transferring, and rotating food and beverage items.

Perform other duties as assigned and ordered by the immediate superior and the Management.

Requirement:

2+ years of experience in inventory control is preferred.

Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.

Ability to use inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports, such as spreadsheets

Mathematical and analytical skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Attention to detail and organizational skills
