  • Responsible for total branch performance in accordance with company policy and procedures; ensures store profitability and at the same time supports company goals, missions, and vision. Provides sound leadership for the branch.

    TASKS & Responsibilities:
    A. Customers
    □ Maintain contact and friendly relationships with customers and suppliers, building a favorable company image.
    □ Direct and coordinate counter and outside sales (if applicable) efforts to develop new markets. Make joint calls with salesmen as needed.
    □ Coordinate counter maintenance, merchandising and promotional activity in coordination with the Marketing Department
    □ Implement branch pricing as set by the Head Office ; direct and approve quotation activities (if applicable). Keep price lists always updated.
    □ Manage overhead expenses (e.g. lights, aircon etc.) , customer discounts, and pricing to maintain profit levels.
    □ Successfully resolve customer issues timely and professionally.
    □ Maintain positive attitude towards customers and associates by being friendly and courteous. Provide customer assistance as needed. This will include over the counter, over the phone, etc.
    □ Continuously update product knowledge not only for himself but also for his team. Echo any new information and knowledge acquired to staff and promoters.
    B. Operations
    □ Direct warehouse operations specially its orderliness and cleanliness. Maintain necessary inventory levels, order required merchandise, supervise route deliveries and pickups.
    □ Review reports daily, taking appropriate action as needed.
    □ Maintain branch security, opening and closing of branch, oversee cash deposit activity.
    □ Attend General Sales Meeting
    □ Complete and submit in a timely manner all necessary paperwork regarding personnel, accounting, accounts payable, etc.
    □ Coordinate monthly inventory and manage branch inventory status ensuring that it achieve its stock control targets in line with company guidelines to avoid financial loss.
    □ Help reconcile inventory discrepancies and adjustments.
    □ Monitor and analyze merchandise movement and recommends appropriate actions for slow moving items.
    C. Financials
    □ Responsible for the cost effective requisition supplies of needed equipment, supplies, and outsourced services with acceptable suppliers, when needed.
    □ Analyze and evaluation of activities, costs, operations, budgets and forecast data to determine branch progress towards stated goals and objectives. (or to maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace)
    □ Direct accounts receivable activities for branch. Ensure collection calls are made and outstanding debt is collected.
    D. People
    □ Assign and direct all work performed in the branch and supervises all areas of operation in accordance with established company policies/procedures, objectives and applicable laws.
    □ Through management decisions, communication and behavior, creates a culture and a team that works together to meet customer needs and achieve desired results.
    □ Anticipate staffing requirements to meet operational needs by looking at the day off and shift schedules of staff.
    □ Oversee training as well as identify and foster development opportunities for all branch personnel as required or needed.
    □ Periodically evaluates the performance of branch personnel, develop goals and objectives. Provide both formal and informal feedback on a regular basis.
    □ Become familiar with the Employees Handbook. Ensure policies and procedures are communicated and followed.
    □ Promote an environment of empowerment, respect, and trust while holding team members accountable for their actions.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
    (1) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Highly customer focused.
    • Strong leadership qualities both with customers and employees
    • Highly efficient and organized
    • Able to set and implement policies (in conformity with the existing company standards and procedures, but remains flexible when customer conditions require
    • Good communication and planning skills
    • Good market sensitivity and able to identify opportunities
    (2) Education
    • Preferably a graduate of any four-year business related course
    (3) Experience / Training
    • At least 3-4 years of relevant sales experience, preferably from within the retail or appliance companies
    (4) Personality
    • Aggressive and results driven
    • Very creative and highly innovative
    • Strong interpersonal skills
