Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
- Responsible in providing back-office support in the field of Finance and Accounting. Perform variety of duties related to tax accounting, do tax analytics make conclusions and appropriate recommendations. Prepare and post financial entries in accordance with GAAP. Organize, analyze and prepare complex financial schedules and reports.
I. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. TAX ACCOUNTANT
1. Conduct study and interpret tax law related to FFPH business operations.
2. Identify tax savings and analyzing tax issues and suggest solutions.
3. Determine tax savings and recommend strategies to improve profits.
4. Evaluate tax regulations and suggest policies that diminish tax burden
5. Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes
6. Prepare and file accurate monthly, quarterly, annual tax returns for withholding taxes, VAT, income tax, business taxes, etc.
7. Manage and maintain the Company’s tax work books and other related tax tools.
8. Manage the reconciliation of tax related accounts e.g. deferred tax assets and liabilities, VAT payable and VAT exempt transactions, non-tax-deductible expenses, income tax due and payable, withholding taxes.
9. Offer support and guidance during audit including liaise with tax authorities regarding audit, investigation and assessment. Respond to tax notices from various agencies. Provide the necessary documentation; deal with the validity of tax assessments.
B. GL ANALYST
1. Assist the Finance Manager in GL and management reporting analysis and liaise with business unit.
2. Maintain record and monitor company’s fixed asset.
3. Support to accounts payable team in preparation of accounts payable voucher related to administrative expenses.
4. Analysis of monthly administrative and selling expenses, propose accrual /deferral and other adjustments to report correct amount of expense the profit and loss statement.
5. Preparation of monthly balance sheet schedules and year-end audit requirement related to tax, fixed asset, accruals.
6. Overseeing year-end inventory count process and procedure to ensure completeness and accuracy of the physical count.
7. Liaise with logistic team.
8. Support auditor in conducting internal and external audits.
9. Adhere to standard accounting principles and company procedures.
C. CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITY
• Maintain good working relationship within the organization.
• Support Finance Dept. in achieving the objectives.
• Deliver service in line with agreed controls, procedures and SLA.
• Strive for high level customer service.
D. COMPLIANCE
- Ensure awareness and understanding of the Code of Conduct and other integrity and compliance guidelines and policies (Anti bribery, Conflicts of Interest, etc.)
- Report potential misconduct violations to the Code of Conduct and other integrity and compliance guidelines to HR.
- Ensure attendance and understanding of the mandatory and corporate training
II. SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform other special projects as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION—MINIMUM REQUIRED LEVEL
Certified Public Accountant
Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
- EXPERIENCE—MINIMUM REQUIRED
At least 2 years of work experience in given field
- KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1—REQUIRED
Possess technical expertise and information regarding tax regulations, accounting principles, practices & policies.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrates effective time management skills
Work independently with little direction.
High confidentiality, tact, and discretion when dealing with people
Demonstrates flexibility in operational strategy to meet the business requirements
Computer Literate in MS Office Applications
Advanced level for Microsoft Excel Application
- KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 2—DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL
Knowledge in SAP accounting system
Experience gained from reputable tax and accounting firm
Other Languages : Tagalog
Japanese Level: None
English Level: Business
SALARY: 25,000-35,000
LOCATION: Taguig
