  • Duties & Responsibilities
    - Focused on the designated area to establish Company as the market leader and Supplier of Choice through establishing standards at both operations.
    - Provide dotted line support of both Cement Plant QC managers and ensure that quality control and assurance methods are established and maintained at highest industry norms.
    - Provide key guidance on process uniformity team with a raw mix chemistry perspective to enhance and maintain optimum process uniformity at all cement operations.
    - Develop cost-effective raw material sourcing needed for cement plant operations.
    - Coordinate with Area Sales Manager to ensure quality expectations of customers are met
    - Coordinate special material/product needs with the Sales Manager.
    - Technical resource when resolving customer related concerns and cement technical related issues.
    - Use an entrepreneurial approach to work with aggregates, ready-mix and other Market Area product groups to help capture optimal value from our vertically integrated supply chain
    - Developing the business and the relationship management in the industry with the new and existing customers
    - Travel to customers (office and plant sites) and engineers to identify projects and promote products
    - Provide commercial advice in the pricing of proposals
    - Organize and/or participate in trade association meetings and conferences.
    - Work with other associated sales managers to develop advertisements, develop promotional presentations and sales participation in industry services
    - Ensure compliance with technical calculations and customer’s requirements
    - Establish a risk estimate and prepare pricing sheets
    - Lead, or participate in commercial and technical negations with customers to the point of contract signing
    - Other duties/assignments as required

    Qualifications:
    - Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Civil/Industrial Engineering or related technical field required or equivalent experience in the cement industry
    - Minimum of 6-10 years’ experience in cement/ready mix/ admixtures/gypsum experience background in reputable organizations
    - Thorough knowledge of Cement standards
    - Excellent technical knowledge of the cement production process, with cement chemistry knowledge
    - Proficiency in chemistry and plant operations
    - Candidate should have a strong technical background with excellent interpersonal skills
    - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to conveying accurate and appropriate information
    - Good organization, human relations, and decision-making abilities
    - Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate positive working relationships with all levels of management and staff and customers.
    - Ability to direct, motivate and coach activities of others.
    - Ability to exercise sound judgment in problem-solving.
    - Strong written/verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to make formal presentations.
    - Strong analytical skills.
    - Ability to teach and train in cement plant chemistry-related areas of knowledge
    - Customer service focused to provide solutions to customer requirements
    - Cement Quality Control management and /or Cement Production Management background an essential requirement.
