  • Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for Vascular Access Center (OR) patients.

    2. Perform nursing assessment and triage regarding patients’ health concerns, treatment, diagnostic tests, medications, side effect and prioritized patient care needs.

    3. Provide education to patients, families, and significant others, act as an information resource to students, health care professionals, patients, and the public (when required).

    4. Provide expert level of direct nursing care related to vascular access services (VAS), include evaluation, pre/post venous access, device placement and monitoring.

    5. Place vascular access devices such as: peripheral intravenous catheters (PIV), Peripheral Inserted Central Catheters (PICC), Midline catheters and Intra-osseous catheters.

    6. Assess and manage central venous access devices including routine dressing changes, cap changes and intervenes to maintain patency of central venous access devices.

    7. Explain the Patient Consent Form (PCF) to and obtain signature of the patient relative who serves as witness to the patient receiving treatment.

    8. Place difficult peripheral catheters or assist staff as a resource in de-clotting.

    9. Evaluate appropriate intravenous catheter/device to support optimal patient outcomes.

    10. Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time

    Skills and Qualifications:

    1. Registered Nurse (RN)

    2. Experience in vascular and infusion nursing

    3. Competency in the placement of peripheral catheters

    4. With IV Therapy Training and Basic Life Support Training Certification

    5. Excellent intravenous skills including starting, maintaining, and troubleshooting common intravenous access problems

    6. Newly licensed Nurse is encourage to apply.

    Work Location: Bay, Laguna (with staff housing provision)
