JOB DESCRIPTION:

Prepares and assembles medical record documentation/charts for physician

Ensures medical record compliance by self-documentation attestation.

Updates patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the patient

Prepares and sends all documentation to physicians for review and approval via authentication of detailed data entry and facility-specific procedures.

Monitors the duration of basic lab results and screening procedures.

Complies with hospital and medical facility policies, including those relating to HIPAA and Joint Commission.

Performs other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent communication skills (both oral and written proficiency)

Demonstrates excellent time management, strong attention to detail, accuracy, impartiality, organization, and computer competences

At least 1-2 years of experience in a medical-related background or account; work experience with US medical insurance companies (United Health Group, Centene, WellCare, Anthem (Blue Cross, Blue Shield), Humana, Medicaid, Kaiser Permanente, etc.)

Intermediate skills with Gsuite and/or Microsoft Office

Familiar with Medical Terminologies

A healthcare-related degree is (highly preferred)

Preferably with previous call center experience

A professional license in nursing, health, or behavioral sciences is (highly preferred)

Must have a working USB type headset (wireless and mobile phone headsets are not allowed)

HIPAA Certification is a plus
